In order to enter group mode, we only have to select up to 8 MIDI clips by clicking on each one while holding shift. Once in group editing mode, we can switch back and forth between the individual clip editors by clicking on the multi-clip loop bars on top of the editor or by clicking on a greyed out note, which is how notes from clips out of focus are displayed.
